Rule 86
Treatment expenses
(1) During the service period, a police employee will receive an amount equal to twelve months in the case of a gazetted police employee, and eighteen months in the case of a non-gazetted police employee, up to the amount of the severance pay.
(2) If a police officer or a member of his family falls ill, the amount of the expenses incurred as follows shall be given without increasing the amount to be received as per sub-rule (1):-
(a) Medicines purchased according to the prescription given by an approved doctor for the purpose of treatment,
(B) Expenses as per the bill incurred while being admitted to the health institution and undergoing treatment (c) Expenditure according to the bill for all types of surgical operations except plastic surgery,
(d) When leaving home or camp to another district or abroad for medical treatment, when reaching such place and returning, the full amount of the transportation expenses of the patient and of one curva in case of need, and seventy five percent of the daily allowance received by the sick police officer according to the rules for food expenses. . Explanation: For the purpose of this sub-rule, "Approved Physician" means a doctor, Kaviraj, Health Assistant, Vaidya who is in government service or who is registered as a physician according to the prevailing law.
(3) If a police officer who has been injured while working in the course of government work and has been recommended by the medical board established by the Government of Nepal as unable to receive medical treatment in Nepal, the Government of Nepal may give him additional financial assistance as deemed appropriate.
(4) If a police officer wants to take the medical expenses received as per this rule as an advance payment and if the reason for this is deemed reasonable, the advance amount can be given by submitting the account after being subject to this rule. If the amount submitted is more than the amount received for the treatment, the excess amount will be deducted from the salary of the concerned police personnel in installments. If the amount to be deducted is not paid and the concerned police officer or a member of his family dies, the remaining amount to be deducted will be waived.
(5) FutureThe police personnel who are separated from the service under other circumstances except for being disqualified for government service, with or without taking some of the medical expenses received during the service period, will be entitled to receive such remaining amount as a lump sum. However, police personnel who have retired from the service to receive pension will be entitled to take a lump sum amount of 10, 15 and 20 percent respectively for their service period of 20 years, 25 years or more.
(6) When giving medical expenses to a police officer who has not completed ten years of service, the amount prescribed in this rule will be given only to the amount that will be paid by Damasahi.
(7) In accordance with this rule, except when admitted to a health institution or abroad for treatment, a police employee shall not be paid more than the amount equivalent to one and a half months' salary earned by him in a year.
(8) According to this rule, the statement of medical expenses received by the police personnel shall be sent to the police library by keeping the personal records of the police personnel.
